Drive Well, Pay Less

Carbon watch Want to watch your deductible go down, down, down?  Just keep the good driving up.

If you have ERIE’s Auto Enhancement Endorsement, you can watch your deductible decrease over time.  The diminishing deductible feature means that your deductible is reduced by $100 for each consecutive claims-free policy year that you’re insured with ERIE, up to a maximum of $500.

With diminishing deductible, your good driving reaps rewards for your wallet.  Ask your Agent about the Auto Enhancement Endorsement.

*The Auto Enhancement Endorsement is not available in North Carolina.

Policy View for You

Check out your auto, home insurance policies online any time

Carbon watch How many times have you woken up at 3 a.m. and thought, “Boy, I wish I could print a copy of my auto insurance card right now”?

….okay, maybe not. But as an ERIE Customer, if you wanted to, you could.  Plus, you can do other stuff: With our Web-based policy system, you can review your auto and home insurance policies online - any time, day or night.

Here’s how to get started:

  • Go to
  • Click on the Access My Account link in the Service Center (right sidebar).
  • Follow the steps to create the account, then add your policies.

The process is safe, with multiple layers of security to protect your personal information.

If you’ve already established an online account, just click the Login link at the top of the home page.

And, at 3 a.m. or any other hour, you can print a temporary auto ID card* - handy if you can’t find your card and you need one immediately (for instance, you’re having your car inspected).

As always, if you have any questions about your policy, just contact your ERIE Agent.

*Not available in New York.

Think about Life

September: It’s Life Insurance Awareness Month

Carbon watch Did you know that 11 million households with children under 18, arguably those with the greatest need for life insurance, have no life insurance coverage at all?  It’s not a fun topic to think about, but it’s important.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, so please take a moment to consider a few other facts about life insurance from the Life Insurance and Market Research Association (LIMRA):

  • Thiry percent of U.S. households have no life insurance protection at all.
  • Only 44 percent of U.S. households have individual life insurance (this is a 50-year low).
  • Nearly 7 in 10 American households with children under 18 would be in jeopardy if the primary breadwinner died.

Do any of these numbers hit home for you? If so, please talk to your ERIE Agent about affordable policy options through Erie Family Life.

In Pennsylvania, the deductible can’t be reduced to less than $100.
