Life as art: Until July 2010, Lauren’s freelance acting bio read something like, “Trade Show Representative Extraordinaire Demonstrates Products with Artistic Flair.” Today, her resume includes guest-host on QVC, one of America’s top shopping networks boasting 7.2 million shoppers.

Nerves of steel: After taking QVC’s “guest excellence” class and taping and critiquing two product demonstration rehearsals, Lauren’s fears were squelched. “I thought, ‘I can do this! I talk all the time!’ It felt natural and comfortable, and was really fun.”

Tune in for more: Watch for Lauren’s smiling face after October when toys are on everyone’s mind. She pitched two hot-ticket items: a SpongeBob SquarePants 3-D Saucer Chair and the Munchables 2-in-1 Ultra Cuddly Plush Animal & Fleece Throw. Although she admits to only sitting in the SpongeBob chair, she is proud momma to not one, not two, but three Munchables.

Comedy 101: Guest-hosting QVC isn’t her only gig. Alongside her business partner, Jon Ingle, Lauren has been writing, starring in and producing the Little Bits sketch comedy show since December 2009.

It’s not for fame: “When people tell us how much they’re laughing, it is such a great feeling,” Lauren says. “There’s so much bad in the world, and to be able to bring a little bit of joy and a little bit of light means so much – as cheesy as that sounds!”

For the love of Min Pins everywhere: In honor of her four-legged kids (and a few other furry friends she’s loved along the way), Lauren volunteers for Friends of Penny Min Pin Rescue.  It’s part of a network of East Coast animal lovers working together to care for and find good homes for dogs that need them.

ERIE’s no laughing matter: “I’ve been very fortunate not to need ERIE to come in on the proverbial white horse, but I know they’ll take care of me if I ever need them,” Lauren says. Her family has been with ERIE and the A.L. Howes Agency in Sykesville, Md., since 1974; Lauren purchased her own policies in 2005.  “I like that ERIE is a company of high standards that cares what I care about, and I value having a personal relationship with my Agent.”
