Frequently Asked Questions

1. I have been thinking about switching my insurance company. Can I get a quote for automobile insurance?

Yes. Erie Insurance’s Quick Quote for Auto feature is fast and easy to use. You can get a free 12-month premium estimate in about 3 minutes by providing some basic information. Then, pick an Erie Insurance agent that you would like to work with to obtain an exact premium quote and finalize the details.

While many companies can give you an auto insurance quote, we can back it up with a dedicated ERIE agent. Our agents have extensive product knowledge and can help you make informed decisions about your auto, home, life* or business insurance.

*Erie Family Life products are not available in all states.

2. Can I pay my premium installment with my credit card electronically?
Yes. Policyholders who use ERIE’s automated phone payment option can make payments using a credit card. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted. Only Policyholders in states that allow for a pay-per-use fee can pay by credit card. Maryland, North Carolina and New York do not allow this fee. Policyholders wishing to make a payment in these states still have the option of electronic check and debit card.

A convenience fee applies to payments made by phone, including electronic check, debit card and credit card.

3. Can I make changes to my policy online?
Your ERIE Agent is an experienced insurance professional who has extensive product knowledge and will help you make important decisions about your auto, home, life or business insurance policy. Please consult with your ERIE Agent to process all policy change requests. Often, one change necessitates another. Your Agent can advise you of the policy and premium effect on each change.
