Erie Insurance Donates Nearly $1 Million to United Way

Feb. 15, 2008 - ERIE raised almost $940,000 dollars companywide for the recent United Way campaign.

In addition to the corporate gift, the Home Office and Erie Branch donated more than $615,000, and the company's field office totals reached $323,040.

“These numbers are exceptional,” said President and CEO John Brinling, during a Home Office/United Way event on Feb. 12. “I’m so proud of our Employees because the contributions you’ve made clearly demonstrate that ERIE is above all in service not only to our customers, but also to the communities where we work and live.”

The goal of United Way is to bring the community together to help people in need and to create a long lasting change to prevent problems. Alan Perez, United Way of Erie County president, acknowledged Employees in Erie and at all the field offices for being a part of that change.

“United, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow,” Alan said.
