Financial Assistance
Erie Insurance provides a number of financial assistance programs for our
Agents. Some are designed to help qualifying scratch Agents establish
their agencies by allowing them to temporarily offset start-up costs or increasing earned
commissions. Others may be utilized by any qualifying Erie Insurance Agent.
- New Agent Loan Program—This program benefits eligible scratch Agents in their first year of agency existence while premium and commissions are established.
It allows these Agents to concentrate on building their businesses rather than
worrying about cash flow issues.
- Accelerated Commission—Qualifying scratch Agents may be offered a
Special Commission Agreement Contract that increases commissions on
eligible lines of business for the first three years of an agency’s existence.
Commissions are gradually stepped down to standard commission levels after the
third year of the agreement.
- Agency Assistance Program—This program is in the form of a loan with
periodic cash advances over 12 months for agencies seeking to
significantly expand their production by hiring a new CSR or additional
producer.
- Agent Equipment Financing Loan—Provides agencies up to a $25,000
to purchase or upgrade computer equipment. Monthly
payback is automatically deducted from your commission.
