What’s it like to work in the Community Outreach Department? Working in the Community Outreach Department is very rewarding. Our team works with non-profit organizations throughout ERIE’s footprint, helping to make a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.

What do you do in a day’s work? Each day is different, however; the majority of my work includes meeting with community members and planning company fundraising and various Home Office events.

Why ERIE? I’ve wanted to work at Erie Insurance since I was a little girl. I would come into work with my mom and tell her that someday I would work here too. In college, I started working at ERIE during my summer and holiday breaks. I also worked for an ERIE Agent while attending college. I guess you could say I’ve grown up with ERIE. 

Advice you’d offer to a new Employee:  ERIE truly is a great place to work.  There are many opportunities to grow your career. Work smart, stay focused and never stop learning new things.

If not insurance, then … I’d like to have my own event planning business.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Clarion University (Pa.)

Outside interests: Attending concerts, shopping, being outdoors and volunteer work.

Dream project: I don’t have a green thumb by any means, but I’ve always wanted to put a large vegetable garden in my back yard.

Best stress reliever: Listening to music and dancing.

Best ERIE moment: Helping ERIE raise over one million dollars during the 2010/2011 companywide United Way campaign.
