Included with comprehensive coverage and optional with collision coverage (included in Virginia), ERIE’s auto insurance policy covers your transportation expenses immediately after an accident or covered loss if the vehicle can’t be driven, with no deductible or waiting period. If the vehicle is drivable, payment could start the day you leave the auto at the garage for repairs. Examples of covered expenses include auto rental fees and bus or taxi fares.
With comprehensive coverage, Erie Insurance will pay up to $20 per day ($900 limit per loss, $600 in Virginia). The payment and limits for transportation expenses vary with collision coverage. Higher optional limits are available for purchase under both comprehensive and collision coverage.
