Are You Covered in Case of Water Damage?
ERIE Customer Tony Cinquegrani was shocked when he opened
his front door last September to find two inches of water covering his entire downstairs. Luckily, Tony had the insurance coverage he needed and the promise of great service from ERIE.

Do you need flood insurance?“After contacting [my Agent, Bob McAllister], within an hour the restoration company was at my home; 45 minutes later, Erie Insurance Adjuster Pam Andrew, was also here. They organized everything that needed to be done,” Tony said.

The cause of his water damage was a burst pipe attached to his dishwasher. In this case, his condo insurance covered it. Not all water damage is covered by your regular homeowners or condo insurance, though, so check with your Agent to make sure you’re prepared in case of a disaster. Ask about ERIE endorsements that cover certain kinds of water damage and flood insurance offered through American Bankers Insurance Company.
