Hoops for Hunger Makes a Slam Dunk for Charity

March 22, 2011 - Erie Insurance raised more than $2,500 for the Erie City Mission during the recent Hoops for Hunger Corporate Challenge basketball tournament held at the Tullio Arena in Erie, Pa.

The ERIE team, made up of 10 Employees, challenged other local teams on March 5, 2011, for the Corporate Challenge Championship title. ERIE played hard and took home fourth place; PNC Bank, playing for the Sisters of St. Joseph, won the top honors.

In addition to the prize money earned for taking fourth, ERIE Employees donated over $2,200 to the Erie City Mission by purchasing chances to win a 50-inch plasma television.
