Support for Indiana and Illinois Customers Affected by Recent Storms

Nov. 27, 2013 – Indiana and Illinois Customers who experienced a loss because of the recent severe storms may need extra time to pay their insurance premiums. We understand and we’re here to help.

Indiana and Illinois Customers adversely affected by the severe weather events will have an additional 60 days to pay premium bills that become due on their accounts during this difficult time. To arrange an extension, please contact your Agent or Erie Insurance Customer Service Contact Center at 1-800-458-0811:

  • Option 4 for auto, home and business insurance inquiries.
  • Option 3 for life insurance inquiries.

You may receive late notices during this timeframe, but ERIE will not issue any cancellation or non-renewal notices to affected Customers during the 60-day extended grace period. Please note that this extension does not relieve you of your responsibility to make future premium payments and to comply with other requirements imposed by your insurance policy.
