Midland Insurance

Auto, Home, Life and Business Insurance

Barboursville, WV Insurance Agency

Following an eight-year career in teaching and five years in insurance, Dan Kinder established Midland Insurance in Barboursville, West Virginia. The agency is a proud representative of Erie Insurance, which sells auto, home, business and life insurance through a network of independent agents in 12 states and the District of Columbia.

Education Matters

Dan’s insurance experience includes time in both handling claims and policy sales. He believes in the power of education having earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in special education from West Virginia University, as well as a master’s degree in teaching history from Marshall University. In recent years his educational focus has shifted to insurance courses in order to benefit his customers.

“I think it’s vital to learn every aspect of all insurance lines to be able to fully educate clients on what is going to give them the best coverage for their needs and their budget,” says Dan. “I want my agency to be the place people are comfortable asking questions and where they know they’ll be treated right, with superior customer service.”

Active in the Community

Dan believes it’s important to be an active part of the community. He gets involved by coaching youth sports and also volunteers as a leader to youth groups. He is a member of the Local School Improvement Council and serves on the school board for Bible Center Christian School.
