Dennis Insurance was established in Zanesville, Ohio, in 1992. The agency became known as Dennis & Nelson Insurance Group after principal agents Jeff Dennis and Pat Nelson decided to join forces in 2011. Erie Insurance sells auto, home and business insurance through our network of independent agents in 12 states and the District of Columbia.

Co-owner and principal agent Jeff Dennis is the president of Dennis & Nelson Insurance Group. Before merging agencies with his lifelong friend, Pat Nelson, Jeff had established Dennis Insurance in 1983 in Crooksville, Ohio.

Jeff has earned several designations including the CPIA (Certified Professional Insurance Agent). He’s also a certified estate counselor and a certified enrollment specialist. Jeff has earned recognition for being a Million Dollar Round Table-Life Member.

Co-owner and principal agent Pat Nelson is the vice president of the agency. He has been in the insurance business since 2004. Pat earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ohio State University in 1981 and later became a certified public accountant. After graduating, Pat stayed in the Columbus area building a career which included owning a physical management company, HealthServe. He applies his extensive background in business and finance to addressing the insurance needs of clients.

Dennis & Nelson Insurance Group is located in Zanesville, Ohio, on Maysville Avenue, near McDonald’s across from Muskingum Iron & Metal. The agency has additional locations in Crooksville, Ohio, and Columbus, Ohio, in order to better serve customers.
