A History of Service

The O’Brien Insurance Agency is a family-owned, full-service independent agency in Camp Point, Illinois, with an additional office in Quincy, Illinois, to serve you. Having been established in 1873, O’Brien Insurance is the oldest insurance agency in Adams County, Illinois. Since 2002, the agency has proudly represented Erie Insurance, which sells auto, home, business and life insurance through a network of independent agents in 12 states and the District of Columbia.

A staff of 10 people brings 42 years of combined insurance experience to the agency. They will treat you like family and provide insurance services for both personal and business needs.

Principal agent Michael O’Brien graduated from Illinois State University with an engineering degree. His agency partner, George O’Brien, earned a business degree, also from ISU. They focus on educating customers to help them feel secure about protecting what is most important. “Our goal is to provide quality service that builds long-term relationships with our clients,” says Michael.

Community Matters

Michael is actively involved in the community. He is a member of the Quincy University Mart Heinen Booster Club and a soccer coach for his children’s teams in the Quincy United Soccer Club.
