Erie Insurance sells auto, home, business and life insurance through our network of independent agents in 12 states and the District of Columbia. Benz Associates was established in 1983 in Hamburg, New York. The agency’s principal agent Richard Benz says, “Benz Associates is a family run business and we treat our customers like they are part of the family.”

Richard has over 23 years of insurance experience. He has been with the agency since 1992 and has been the principal agent since 2005. He is very hands on and is highly involved in the operations of the agency. Together, he and his six-agent staff serve over 2,300 clients. Every employee at Benz Associates is licensed to sell property/casualty insurance. Richard and his staff pride themselves on their ability to fully satisfy their customers’ needs.

The agency is located in Hamburg, New York, next to the municipal parking lot and across from the Hamburg Palace Theater on Buffalo Street.
