’Tis the Season for Cyber Safety
Since we’re approaching the holidays, and October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, it’s worth reviewing a few ways to stay safe online:
- Always keep passwords unique. 1-2-3-4 won’t cut it anymore. We also encourage setting up multifactor authentication as an added layer of protection.
- Think before you click, to protect important information on devices. Especially around the holidays, it’s important to remain vigilant and only interact with trusted, secure sites and businesses.
- Keep your devices’ software up to date, and only use trusted networks. Outdated software can leave gaps in protection, just like connecting to unfamiliar networks. Avoid both.
At ERIE, we think cybersecurity is essential. For your peace of mind, we offer Identity Recovery coverage.[1] Easily added to a homeowners or renters policy, it ensures you won’t have to go it alone should you fall victim to fraud.
Certain ErieSecure Home® policies offer Personal Cyber Event coverage,[2] which includes identity recovery protections and additional coverages.
For businesses, ERIE offers Cyber Suite[3] coverage, which provides protection from a wide range of cyber incidents, from breaches to cyber extortion threats.

ERIE Adds App Capabilities
Auto Customers can now file a Safelite® glass claim and access roadside assistance via Agero® within ERIE’s mobile app.
When misfortune—or something else—strikes your windshield or window, you can file a claim immediately at any time using the app. Drivers can still call 800-552-3743 to start a claim over the phone, but the mobile option allows you to arrange getting the repair done in your driveway, at your workplace parking lot or at another location.
For Customers who have added Emergency Roadside Service coverage to their ERIE policy, they can contact Agero, ERIE’s nationwide roadside partner, 24 hours a day, seven days a week with the tap of a finger.
Still prefer a phone call?
Not a problem—call 800-367-3743 or file a tow claim online.
The mobile app now boasts some YourTurn® capabilities by offering information about ERIE’s safe driving program to interested Customers. It also allows current users to access their accounts.
Don’t forget: when you need to file a claim, the app boasts the added benefit of allowing Customers to track their claims and get status updates sent straight to their smartphones.
Download the app on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
