Winter Storm Clean Up: What’s Covered by Insurance?

Winter storms have been wreaking havoc across ERIE’s footprint this year. It’s important to know what to do before, during and after a winter storm hits, and to know you’re covered if your vehicle or home experiences damage. Check out this list from the Insurance Information Institute about what could be covered by your insurance after a winter storm. Your ERIE Agent can walk you through the specific coverages available with an ERIE policy.

You can also find helpful resources on the erieinsurance.comdisaster page, with specific resources for winter storms. If you’ve experienced falling trees or branches in your area, read “What Happens if My Neighbor’s Tree Falls in My Yard?” It will give you an overview of the claims process and an idea of what to expect when you talk to your claims adjuster.

Most importantly, stay safe and be prepared for the quick changes in weather. As always, your ERIE Agent is here to help you. Not with ERIE? Check out the ERIE Difference.
