The Occupational Safety and Health Act establishes that employers must provide their employees with a safe and healthy work environment.

The U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulates occupational safety and health for employers in these states where Erie Insurance does business: Illinois, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia.

The U.S. Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) regulates occupational safety and health for surface and underground mining employers in all states.
