Part of ERIE’s commitment to being Above all in Service® means giving back to the communities where we live and work. Each year, agents and employees lend their time and talent to a variety of worthy organizations.
Through Erie Service Corps, a companywide initiative, teams of employees have the opportunity to volunteer during the workweek. ERIE offers employees 7.5 hours of paid time annually to participate in company-sponsored team events for non-profit organizations that focus on education, health and human services, civic and community, arts and culture, and safety and disaster relief. ERIE volunteers spend thousands of hours helping communities each year.

Employee Jennifer Ogden helped build a home for the Greater Erie Area Habitat for Humanity on East 5th Street, a few blocks from ERIE’s corporate headquarters.
By helping to build homes for Habitat for Humanity for several years, we’ve helped families and a good cause. Across ERIE’s territory, volunteers have picked up tools and worked side by side with Habitat for Humanity and the new homeowners to make the families’ dreams of safe, decent homeownership come true.
Employee Isi Onyemenem was one of more than dozen volunteers who tutored students at Pfeiffer-Burleigh School in Erie, Pa.
For more than 30 years, ERIE has built a strong relationship with the students and teachers of Pfeiffer-Burleigh School through the Adopt-A-School partnership. Year after year, ERIE employees offer their time to students in kindergarten through 8th grade by volunteering for special programs and tutoring.
