Erie, Pa. (October 26, 2017) – The American Red Cross has received $50,000 from Erie Insurance for disaster recovery. The donation will be used in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico for relief after hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
“At Erie Insurance, community service is in our DNA. We’ve been a long-time supporter of the Red Cross and the work they do,” said Erie Insurance President and CEO Tim NeCastro. “There is a huge need to help those affected by the hurricanes, and we wanted to be sure we’re doing our part.”
The company is also encouraging employees to use its Matching Gifts program to further support hurricane relief efforts. Erie Insurance and the American Red Cross have been corporate partners since 2000.
