Erie, Pa. (June 19, 2017) – Erie Insurance announced senior leadership changes
across the company’s footprint that includes 12 states and D.C., to further
position the company for continued growth and exceptional service.
Claims
Under the
leadership of Senior Vice President Chris Zimmer, Corporate and Field Claims represent ERIE's critical
front-line touchpoint with customers.
- Joe Vahey joins Claims Regional Vice Presidents Greg Page, Northeast Region, and Doug Morris, Southeast Region. Both
took on new geographies recently as a part of recent organizational changes.
Vahey
now oversees claims operations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio
and Tennessee. He joined ERIE in 1991 as a claims operations auditor. He
later joined Customer Service as an executive assistant before becoming a
district sales manager for the Illinois Branch. Vahey then served as
branch manager in Wisconsin, Illinois and Allentown. In his most recent role since
2010, he served as vice president and personal lines product manager.
Sales
Under the leadership of Senior Vice President Charles
Fletcher, Sales responsibilities include field operations, agency administration, and sales and promotion.
- Tony DaBreo is regional vice president of ERIE’s Northeast
Region, a role he takes on after serving as Indiana branch manager. As regional
vice president, he will oversee operations of the independent agencies and
sales teams in Pennsylvania and New York. DaBreo joined Erie Insurance
in 1997 as a district sales manager trainee. He has previously served as branch
manager in Allentown, Harrisburg and Indiana.
- Mark Banks is regional vice president of the Southeast Region,
a role he takes on after serving as Virginia branch manager. As regional vice
president, he will oversee operations in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland/DC
and North Carolina. He joined ERIE in 1985 as a loss control representative. In
1993, he moved to Virginia where he served as Roanoke branch sales manager,
then branch manager. In 2012, his role expanded to include leadership of the
Richmond branch.
- Rick Gordon is regional vice president of the West
Region, and previously served as
Wisconsin branch manager. As regional vice president, he will oversee operations in Illinois, Indiana,
Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Wisconsin. He joined Erie Insurance as a district
sales manager in 2001.
- Jerry McNeill is vice president and manager of the Indiana Branch. He joined Erie
Insurance in 2011 as a district sales manager in the Indiana Branch. McNeill
helped drive significant growth in the Deep South and Speedway Districts. Prior
to joining Erie, he worked in insurance sales for seven years and taught
middle-school math for six years.
- Rita Napieralski is vice president and manager of the Wisconsin Branch. She joined
Erie Insurance in 2010 as a regional supervisor for risk management.
Napieralski became a district sales manager in 2012, most recently serving in a
senior-level capacity. She helped drive significant growth in her district and
also led agency recruitment efforts for the branch.
- Jay Simon is vice president and branch manager of both the
Kentucky and West Virginia Branches. He was previously the Kentucky branch
manager since ERIE entered the state in 2014. Simon joined Erie
Insurance in 1989 as a personal property underwriter. In 1991, Simon entered
the district sales manager training program and relocated to West Virginia the
following year, where he served as a district sales manager for 22 years.
- Teresa Young, vice president and branch manager of the Charlotte
Branch, has expanded her role to also oversee the Raleigh Branch. She has been
part of the Charlotte Branch sales team since 1999 when she joined ERIE as a
district sales manager. She was promoted to Charlotte branch manager in 2008,
the role she held until her current position.
- Shane Badon is vice president and manager of the Virginia Branch.
Badon joined Erie Insurance in
2008 as a district sales manager in Silver Spring, Maryland. In 2012, he took
on the role of New York branch manager. Under his leadership, the branch grew
its total direct written premium by 46 percent.
- Kris Marrion is vice president and branch manager of Silver
Spring. He joined ERIE in 2003, first as a customer service representative and
then a district sales manager in 2007. He then served as Raleigh branch manager
until his current role.
Leaders are currently in their newly appointed
roles.
