ERIE ranks no. 414 on the 2023 Fortune 500 list of America’s largest corporations
Erie Insurance (ERIE) is ranked number 414 on the 2023 Fortune 500 list of largest American corporations, based on total revenue for the 2022 fiscal year.
The 2023 ranking marks the 20th year ERIE has been included on the Fortune 500 list. ERIE first debuted at #454 in 2003.

Companies are ranked on the annual Fortune 500 lists based on total revenues for the respective fiscal years. Included in the survey are companies that are incorporated in the U.S., operate in the U.S., and file financial statements with a government agency.
According to Fortune’s rankings news release, this year’s Fortune 500 marks the 69th running of the list. The revenue threshold for the 2023 Fortune 500 list was $7.2 billion, up 13% from last year. In total, Fortune 500 companies represent two-thirds of the U.S. GDP with $18 trillion in revenues.
