Erie Insurance promotes Cody Cook and Sarah Shine to executive vice President roles

Cook and Shine have served on the company’s Executive Council since June

Erie Insurance (NASDAQ: ERIE) today announced that Cody Cook and Sarah Shine have been promoted to executive vice presidents, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Both leaders are currently serving as senior vice presidents and have been members of ERIE's Executive Council since June.

Cook joined Erie Insurance in 2003 as an actuary in Personal Lines and predictive modeling. He’s served as vice president & Personal Lines product manager; senior vice president, Personal Products; and most recently as senior vice president, Claims.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in actuarial science & statistics from Purdue University and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He’s also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).

Shine began her ERIE career in 2000 as an actuarial analyst for personal lines and shifted focus to commercial lines. She’s held roles as vice president, Commercial Underwriting and regional vice president of Underwriting in the Southeast region; senior vice president of Commercial Products; and most recently as senior vice president, Experience & Customer Service.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a business option from Pennsylvania State University and earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. She’s also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
