Raftis will lead ERIE’s treasury and tax functions, following the retirement of VP and Corporate Treasurer Bob McNutt
Erie Insurance (ERIE) today announced that Mike Raftis has been promoted to senior vice president and corporate treasurer, effective Feb. 28, 2025. The appointment will follow the retirement of Vice President and Corporate Treasurer Bob McNutt.
Raftis will now lead ERIE’s treasury and tax functions, as well as related corporate initiatives and strategy. He will serve as the corporate tax officer and treasurer for all ERIE companies.
He joined Erie Insurance in 2020 as vice president of corporate taxation, overseeing all aspects of the corporate tax life cycle, including tax accounting, compliance, policies and tax credit investments and accounting for fixed assets and software.
Since joining ERIE, Raftis has implemented a purchased tax credit program, created an investment tax credit equity portfolio and overhauled ERIE’s sales and use tax function. Raftis spent nearly a decade in the tax advisory group at Ernst & Young before coming to ERIE. He is a certified public accountant and earned his bachelor's and master’s degrees in accounting from Pennsylvania State University.
He will report to Executive Vice President and CFO Julie Pelkowski in this new role.
