Erie Insurance ranked highest in auto claims satisfaction by J.D. Power

Recognition underscores ERIE’s century-long commitment to exceptional claims service

Erie Insurance (ERIE) has earned the highest ranking in customer claims satisfaction among auto insurers according to the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Auto Claims Satisfaction Study. The recognition highlights ERIE’s ongoing commitment to treating policyholders fairly and helping them recover after a loss.

The U.S. Auto Claims Satisfaction Study measures customer satisfaction with the auto claims experience based on eight factors: trust, fairness of settlement, people, time to settle claim, communication, ease of resolving claim, ease of starting claim, and digital channels. ERIE earned the highest overall satisfaction score of 743 and led in four of the eight study factors, including trust.

Power recognition reflects what it truly means to uphold our mission to be Above all in Service,” said Cody Cook, executive vice president for Claims at ERIE. “For over a century, our people have shown unwavering care and commitment to our customers — and that dedication continues to define who we are today.”

The J.D. Power study is based on responses from 9,455 auto insurance customers who settled an auto insurance claim within nine months of the survey. The study excludes claims limited to glass or windshield damage, theft-only claims or roadside assistance.
