Erie Insurance names Todd Morrison and Chad Ackerman branch managers in Virginia

December 19, 2025

Erie Insurance (ERIE) has named Todd Morrison and Chad Ackerman as branch managers for the company’s Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia, branches.

Morrison brings 15 years of ERIE experience to his new role in Roanoke, most recently serving as senior district sales manager in southwest Virginia. Before joining ERIE, he spent 14 years as a sales producer and manager within an insurance agency and as an advisor for Virginia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. A U.S. Navy Submarine Force veteran, Morrison holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Tusculum College and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2015.

“Todd has long been recognized for his mentorship, technical expertise and steady leadership,” said Mark Banks, ERIE’s regional vice president, Southeast Sales. “His ability to help agents navigate complex commercial accounts and develop new talent is a significant asset to the Roanoke branch.”

Ackerman, named Richmond branch manager, began his ERIE career in 2015 as an IT business analyst intern before joining ERIE’s IT Apprentice program. After completing ERIE’s district sales manager (DSM) training program in 2017, he served as DSM for the Northern Virginia Patriot District from 2017 to 2023 and for the South Richmond District beginning in 2024. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and holds the CIC designation.

“Chad’s combination of sales experience, leadership development and technology insight has consistently supported strong agency partnerships and operational excellence,” Banks said. “His commitment to service and continuous improvement positions the Richmond branch for continued success.”

Both appointments are effective Dec. 18.
