Seasoned technology executive brings deep expertise in digital strategy, AI and enterprise modernization
Erie Insurance (ERIE) has named Parimal Kumar senior vice president, Information Technology, effective Dec. 15. In this role, Kumar will oversee ERIE’s Services and Experience Technology Division and lead initiatives supporting technology modernization, digital transformation and service delivery.
Kumar joins ERIE from QBE North America, where he served as head of Technology and Transformation. While at QBE, he led digital strategy across claims and document management, advancing modernization and optimizing digital and data assets.
Prior to QBE, Kumar was a director with Capgemini Americas, where he led digital transformation programs for several Fortune 500 companies.

Kumar has more than 20 years of experience spanning digital and data strategy, AI and automation, cloud architecture, and enterprise modernization across personal, commercial and specialty insurance lines. He is recognized for his thought leadership in digital strategy and received QBE’s Guidewire HERO Innovation Award for breakthrough claims transformation.
Kumar holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Rourkela, India.
