Updates from Erie Insurance on COVID-19

Erie Insurance and the New York Department of Financial Services advise Customers to be aware of potential insurance scams and price gouging during this difficult time. If you are approached to purchase an unsolicited insurance policy or asked to change the terms of your current policy, please contact your ERIE Agent before taking any such action.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our Customers, our Employees and the community.  Throughout this public health crisis, thousands of ERIE employees have been working remotely and will continue to do so. We remain committed to maintaining service to our customers and employees and are working diligently to ensure minimal disruption during this unprecedented time.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf ordered all non-life sustaining businesses to close their physical locations by 8 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2020.  According to the initial directive, insurance carriers and agents were classified as non-life-sustaining. However, the Governor has since updated this guidance and is providing flexibility to the insurance industry. Only essential personnel will be permitted to enter our physical office locations in Pennsylvania until further notice.
