Frequently Asked Customer Questions and Answers
How do I get started?
When you create an account, you’ll be asked to share some personal information with us, including your name, address, date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
So that we can match you to your policy, please enter your information exactly as it appears on your policy, using your full name (including middle initial) and NOT your nickname or preferred name.
For your username, please use the email address that your ERIE agent uses to communicate with you.
Once you enter your information and we verify your identity, we’ll send you an email with a verification link. Just follow the instructions in the verification email to log in for the first time. If you’re having trouble with the account verification email, please check your spam or junk mail folders or go back to the log in screen and try it again.
Why do I have to answer identity verification questions when I create my account?
We use these questions to verify that you are who you say you are and to help protect your information from unauthorized users. These identity verification questions are provided by a third party and are based on information available in electronic public records. This data is not restricted to your relationship with ERIE, and ERIE has no control over the content of these public record databases.
How do I reset my password or change my email address?
You can reset your password from the log in screen or once logged in, you can do so from your profile by following the reset password screen prompts. Once you log into your account, you can update your email address via your profile.
