Erie Insurance sells auto, home, life and business insurance through our network of independent agents in 12 states and the District of Columbia. Established in 1974 in Washington, Pennsylvania, the Day Insurance Agency has evolved into a full-service retail agency offering auto, home, business, commercial, auto, life and annuity in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. With offices in Washington, Pennsylvania, and in Hickory, Pennsylvania, the Day Insurance Agency staff offers evening and weekend appointments and will even come to their customers if need be.
Award-Winning Service
The agency was founded by Stephen C. Day, Sr., who always taught principal agents Stephen (Steve) Day, Jr. and Scott Day to “get out of your chair and go sit in your customer’s chair” in order to see the clients’ perspectives.
Steve, who has an associate’s degree in business from Robert Morris College and a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Maryland, brings 25 years of experience to the job.
Scott, who has a bachelor’s degree in business from Robert Morris College, has 26 years of service. Their agency has won many of the awards that ERIE offers to its agency force.
Local Community Matters
The agency staff members are very involved in their local community. They participate with charitable organizations, volunteer at local events and sponsor numerous sports teams.
Experience You Can Trust
The agency’s well-trained staff of seven people includes two agents/customer service representatives who each have more than 25 years of experience, and two other staff members who have more than 15 years in the industry. The entire staff is well versed on P&C insurance, life and annuities. “No one is afraid to say, ‘I don’t know the answer; they will research, find the answer and give a call back,’” notes Steve.
