Carrying on the Family Business

The agency was established in 1977 and has continued to serve the residents of Denver, Pennsylvania, ever since. Principal Agents Curt and Kent Unruh are brothers who both have 30 years of experience. They took over as principals in 1992 from their father, the previous owner.

They have customer service agents (CSA) completely focused on servicing customers’ policies. The agency also employs agents and CSAs who specialize in either personal, commercial or life insurance, making them more knowledgeable in their specific area.

In addition to having a dedicated staff, education and knowledge are held in high regard. Many of the agency’s 22-person staff members are longtime employees and the average years of experience for a staff member is 15 years. Kent holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Curtis holds the CIC designation and the Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations.

Various staff members also hold the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), , Certified Insurance Representatives (CISR), CIC and LUTCF designations.

The agency staff members are very involved in the community. They are active locally in churches and schools. The agency also regularly sponsors many charitable and civic organizations in addition to participating in their local American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life annually.
