The two cities that define Pennsylvania are located on opposite sides of the state. In the southeastern corner, Philadelphia is a living representation of American history. The Liberty Bell is an iconic landmark, along with other historic sites like Independence Hall. A few hundred miles away, Pittsburgh features a working-class feel but offers plenty of its own attractions. The Carnegie Science Center and The Andy Warhol Museum are just a couple of many great destinations. At Erie Insurance, we offer auto coverage for Pennsylvania drivers who can’t wait to get out and see their state.

Pennsylvania Auto Insurance: Stacked and Unstacked
Stacking coverage allows you to increase the amount of uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage by the number of vehicles on your auto insurance policy.
If you select the stacked option in Pennsylvania, limits can be added together for each auto insured. For example, the stacked coverage limits are $15,000 per person and $30,000 per accident for each car you insure. If you owned two vehicles, then the stacked coverage is $30,000/$60,000. There is an additional cost to stack coverage.
If you select the unstacked option, the stated limits apply per accident regardless of the number of autos you insure. In the example above, the $15,000/$30,000 limits apply.
Reducing Your Premium
In addition to the coverage you need, ERIE also offers discounts to help reduce your rates.
- Earn a discount with factory-installed safety features like anti-lock brakes, passive restraints and anti-theft devices.
- Save when you insure multiple cars or have multiple policies with ERIE.
- Earn a discount based on reduced usage or 100% farm use.
- Save when you select a payment plan that offers savings.
In addition to these (and other) auto insurance discounts, ERIE offers discounts when you bundle your home, business, life insurance[1] and annuity products.
