How Can I Pay My Erie Insurance Bill?

ONLINE

To make a secure online payment for Erie Insurance, Erie Family Life or Flagship City bills, here is the information that you’ll need to share with us:

  • Your ERIE policy or Account Billing number, along with the ZIP code, exactly as they appear on your bill. You can find this information on a recent copy of your Erie Insurance, Erie Family Life or Flagship City invoice.
  • Your name and address.
  • Your funding information, such as a checking or savings account number, ATM/debit card, Visa or MasterCard. (Credit card payments are not available with all of our payment plans or with Erie Family Life policies.)

Once you enter your personal information, you’ll see your total balance due, the amount of your next payment (premium and any applicable fees) and the payment due date. If your total balance due does not display, please get in touch with Customer Care.

You can make a payment at the company’s headquarters in Erie, Pennsylvania. The cashier window is located at the intersection of 6th and Holland streets. It is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. For your convenience, free parking is available at the entrance of the building.

OTHER OPTIONS: Automatic payments

With automatic payments, you can have your payments drawn automatically from a checking or savings account. It’s a quick and convenient way to pay your insurance bill. The options:

  • Automatic Payments are available for auto, home, boat and Personal Catastrophe Liability policies on certain payment plans, including the Annual, Quarterly, 9 Month or Monthly Auto-Pay plans.
  • ERIExpressPay® is ERIE’s automatic payment option for business insurance payments.
  • Chek-matic is ERIE’s recurring monthly direct debit programs for life insurance payments.

You can sign up for the automatic payment options by getting in touch with your local Erie Insurance agent.1

OTHER OPTIONS: Combine Your Billing Statements

With ERIE’s Account Billing option, you can combine more than one insurance policy on a single billing statement.2 Each policy can have a different effective date. To take advantage of this option, your Erie Insurance agent can help you. Just get in touch.

Does the bill payment service show how much I owe?

Yes. Our bill payment service displays your total balance due, the amount of your next payment and the payment due date. This information will vary due to the status of your policy or account.

When will my online payment be deducted from my bank account?

Your online payment will be deducted from the bank account as early as the next business day. Payments made with a debit or credit card may be withdrawn immediately. Payments made after 6 p.m. (Eastern) may take two business days to be processed.

Can I pick the date when the payment will be made?

All online payments processed are for the current business day only. Payments made after 6 p.m. (Eastern) may take two business days to be processed when making a payment using a checking or savings account. Payments made with a debit or credit card may be withdrawn immediately.

Can I make a payment on more than one Erie Insurance policy online?

Yes, you can make a payment on more than one Erie Insurance policy, but the service requires that you pay each Account or policy individually. You can make more than one payment on an Account or a policy per day as long as it's for a different dollar amount.

How do I modify or cancel a payment?

If you need to cancel or modify any pending payments, please contact Customer Care. Payments made by debit cards cannot be canceled or modified. A payment made with a credit card or checking/savings account may be canceled during the same day, before 6 p.m. (Eastern). Please have your confirmation number available when you call us.

1Automatic Payments is not available with Bonds, Flagship Auto, Account Billed and Assigned Risk policies. The 9 Month payment plan is not available in Kentucky.

2The Account Billing option is not available in Kentucky or with Erie Family Life Insurance policies or surety bonds for businesses. Personal and commercial insurance policies cannot be combined on the same Account. An Account that includes a policy on the Annual or Third-Third-Third payment plans may not be paid by credit card except for New York and Maryland policies.
