Automatic payments

With automatic payments, you can have your payments drawn automatically from a checking or savings account. It’s a quick and convenient way to pay your insurance bill. The options:

  • Automatic Payments are available for auto, home, boat and personal catastrophe liability policies on certain payment plans, including Annual, Quarterly, 9 Month or Monthly.
  • ERIExpressPay® is ERIE’s automatic payment option for business insurance policies.
  • Chek-matic is ERIE’s recurring monthly direct debit programs for life insurance payments.

You can sign up for the automatic payment options by contacting your local Erie Insurance agent.[2]

Combine Your Billing Statements

With ERIE’s Account Billing option, you can combine more than one insurance policy on a single billing statement.[3] Each policy can have a different effective date and payment plan. To take advantage of this option, contact your Erie Insurance agent.

Online Payment FAQs

Paperless Billing FAQs

  1. 1
Erie Insurance reserves the right to refuse your payment if you have failed to make timely payments as required under your policy, if your policy is pending cancellation, if your policy has lapsed, or for any other permissible reason. If your policy has lapsed, there is no coverage under your policy for any loss that occurred while your policy was out of force. If Erie Insurance elects to refuse your payment, the transaction will be processed and any unearned funds collected will be credited back to you. THE PAYMENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT DOES NOT SERVE AS PROOF THAT INSURANCE COVERAGE IS IN FORCE.
  2. 2
Automatic Payment options are not available with Bonds, Flagship Auto, Account Billed and Assigned Risk policies. The 9 Month payment plan is not available in Kentucky.
  3. 3
The Account Billing option is not available in Kentucky or with Erie Family Life Insurance policies or surety bonds for businesses. Personal and commercial insurance policies cannot be combined on the same Account. An Account that includes a policy on the Annual or Third-Third-Third payment plans may not be paid by credit card except for New York and Maryland policies.
