Do you need to pay your bill? We offer several payment options. You can pay by phone, online or by direct debit from your checking or savings account. You can also make a payment by mail.

How Can I Pay My Insurance Bill?

ONLINE

To make a secure online payment, use Pay My Bill, ERIE’s one-time payment service for Erie Insurance, Erie Family Life or Flagship City bills. We offer this service free of charge.

Here’s the information that you’ll need to share with us:

  • Your ERIE policy or account billing number, along with the ZIP code, exactly as they appear on your bill. You can find this information on a recent copy of your Erie Insurance, Erie Family Life or Flagship City invoice.
  • Your name and address.
  • Your funding information, such as your checking or savings account number, ATM/debit card, Visa or MasterCard. (Credit card payments are not available with all of our payment plans or with Erie Family Life policies.)

Once you enter your personal information, you’ll see your current balance, the amount of your next payment and the payment due date. If your current balance does not display, please get in touch with Customer Care.

DIRECT DEBIT

Payments are drawn automatically from your checking or savings account. It’s a quick and convenient way to pay your insurance bill. You have two options:

  • ERIExpressPay® is available for new and existing auto, home and eligible business insurance policies. It is a single policy, 12-month payment plan for new and existing policies. (Bonds, Flagship Auto and assigned risk policies are not eligible.)
  • Chek-matic is ERIE’s recurring monthly direct debit programs for life insurance payments.

You can make a payment at the company’s headquarters in Erie, Pa. The cashier window at the Home Office is located near the intersection of North Park Row and French Street. For your convenience, free 15-minute parking is available at the entrance of the building.

OTHER OPTIONS: COMBINE YOUR BILLING STATEMENTS

With ERIE’s account billing option, you can combine 2 to 25 policies on a single billing statement. Each policy can have a different effective date. To activate this plan, get in touch with your Erie Insurance agent.1

Online Bill Payment FAQs

Pay My Bill is an online payment service that enables a customer to make a payment for an Erie Insurance, Erie Family Life or Flagship City bills.

Does the bill payment service show how much I owe?

Pay My Bill displays your current policy term balance, the amount of your next payment and the payment due date. This information will vary due to the status of your policy or account.

What methods of payment do you accept online?

 

To make a payment online, you can use your checking/savings account, debit card, or your Visa/MasterCard credit card.

For debit card payments, your PIN is not required because this is a PIN-less debit transaction. (Some banks may not allow a debit card to be used unless a PIN is entered.) Credit card payments are not available on pay plans A and B .

When will my online payment be deducted from my bank account?

Your online payment will be deducted from your bank account as early as the next business day after you have authorized a payment through our online bill payment service when making a payment using your checking or savings account. Payments made with a debit or credit card may be withdrawn immediately. Payments made after 6 p.m. (Eastern) may take two business days to be processed.

Can I pick the date when the payment will be made?

All online payments processed are for the current business day only. Payments made after 6 p.m. (Eastern) may take two business days to be processed when making a payment using your checking or savings account. Payments made with a debit or credit card may be withdrawn immediately.

Can I make a payment on more than one Erie Insurance policy online?

Yes, you can make a payment on more than one Erie Insurance policy, but the service requires that you pay each account or policy number individually. You can make more than one payment on an account or policy per day as long as it's for a different dollar amount

How do I modify or cancel a payment?

If you need to cancel or modify any pending payments, please contact Customer Care.

Payments made by debit cards cannot be canceled or modified. A payment made with a credit card or checking/savings account may be canceled during the same day, before 6 p.m. (Eastern). Please have your confirmation number available when you call us.
